2023 TER season finale Rally Terra Sarda presented in Porto Cervo

The event scheduled on October 6th – 8th showcased in the Promenade du Port

 

A Press Conference was held today in the Promenade du Port of Porto Cervo, in Arzachena, to present the 2023 Rally Terra Sarda.

 

From October 6th to 8th, Sardegna with the beautiful backdrop of Gallura and Costa Smeralda will once again host the final round in the TER – Tour European Rally and the TER Historic title fights, as well as being decisive for the new TER Series, the World Series of the TER.

 

Amongst the drivers who have already entered Rally Terra Sarda, 2022 TER - Tour European Rally, Champion and TER Ambassador, Kiwi driver Hayden Paddon who leads the standings of the TER Series, 2-time TER Historic pre81 Champion and TER Historic Ambassador Tim Metcalfe, Rally-driver-turned model Inessa Tushkanova. The 1984 World Rally Champion, swedish driver Stig Blomqvist, will drive an Audi as Course Car.

 

Speaking at the Press Conference Luca Grilli, TER Organiser and Promoter said: “We are proud to return for the second year at Rally Terra Sarda, as an integral part of a high-level three-year collaboration with Porto Cervo Racing, to offer motorsport enthusiasts another great Rally Terra Sarda. This year, in addition to the TER – Tour European Rally and the TER Historic, we have added the new TER Series, a World Series embracing three continents and which will stage its final round in Sardegna. We are talking about a very important event, both for the relationship that has arisen with the organisers but also for the opportunity to bring the TER series to a fantastic location such as Sardinia, where hospitality and professionalism are of the highest level. Being able to boast Porto Cervo as the venue for the TER championships’ prizegiving venue represents an excellence for our project which has as its main goal the valorisation of territory”.

 

Mauro Atzei, Porto Cervo Racing Team President, said: “There is great excitement, the numbers are proving us right and the presence of great stars, starting with Stig Blomqvist as course car, will guarantee an unforgettable show for all. There are only a few days left until entries close, we will soon reveal the entry lists which, I can predict, will be of the highest level.
