Hayden Paddon looking for more TER glory in Rally Terra Sarda

Kiwi driver eager for another Title

 

2022 TER - Tour European Rally, FIA APRC and New Zealand Champion, Kiwi driver Hayden Paddon, will take part in next month’s Rally Terra Sarda, the final round of the 2023 TER Series, the World Series of TER, the TER - Tour European Rally and TER Historic.

 

The TER Ambassador leads the standings of the new-for-2023 TER Series, in which he clinched a record 10th victory in New Zealand’s Otago Rally, followed by a sensational final stage win in SOL Rally Barbados.

 

In the TER - Tour European Rally, Paddon can aim for a podium place in the final season standings. Earlier this year, Paddon made history when, codriven by John Kennard on a Hyundai i20N Rally2, he became the first non-European to clinch the European Rally Championship* at the end of Barum Czech Rally Zlin.

 

The Hyundai New Zealand and former Hyundai Motorsport WRC driver won the 2022 edition of Rally Terra Sarda, taking the 2022 TER – Tour European Rally title after a season-long battle against 2-time Swiss Champion Ivan Ballinari.

 

Hayden Paddon said: "We are really looking forward to returning in the TER Series and to Sardegna for a rally we really enjoyed last year. The Hyundai Rally2 will be a joy to drive on the fast flowing tarmac stages and we look forward to a good event”
