2022 TER - Tour European Rally Champion Hayden Paddon makes history extending title tally

Kiwi driver becomes the first non-European to clinch the continental series.

 

The 2022 TER - Tour European Rally, FIA APRC and New Zealand Champion, Kiwi driver Hayden Paddon, codriven by John Kennard on a Hyundai i20N Rally2 by BRC Racing Team made history by becoming the first non-European to clinch the European Rally Championship* at the end of Barum Czech Rally Zlin.

 

The Hyundai New Zealand, and former Hyundai Motorsport WRC driver, led the continental series from the start after winning the openin round in Portugal and claiming 6 consecutive podium finishes to secure the title with one round to spare.

 

Leading the new-for-2023 TER Series, the World Series of the TER after a record 10th win in Otago Rally and a maiden success in SOL Rally Barbados, TER Ambassador Paddon and Kennard could take another title in the series' final round, Rally Terra Sarda in October.
