Rally Terra Sarda set to offer stunning 2023 TER season finale in Sardegna

Preparations well underway for a glamorous international event

 

The organisers of Rally Terra Sarda, the 2023 TER season finale, are preparing a great event to end the season in style.

 

In glamorous Porto Cervo, the TER Rally Village will host the crews presentation on Friday, October 6th. Saturday October 7th, Tempio Pausania in the heart of Gallura will host the Shakedown, with the service area located in the town centre. The opening leg will start from Tempio Pausania, and comprise 5 special stages before the overnight regroup in Porto Cervo. The final day of action, Sunday October 8th, will rotate around Arzachena where the service area will be set up. 6 special stages before the finish and Prizegiving in the stunning Porto Cervo marina.

 

In the evening, the traditional 2023 TER end-of-season prizegiving and gala will be the final act of an action-packed season.

 

In 2022, Rally Terra Sarda saw the fight for the TER – Tour European Rally title go down to the wire: after a season-long battle, Former Hyundai Motorsport WRC Works driver Hayden Paddon and 2-time Swiss Champion Ivan Ballinari were tied on points after the Power Stage, with three stages to go. The kiwi driver ultimately took victory, and a maiden TER – Tour European Rally title on the Porto Cervo podium.

 

Another great title fight opposed TER Historic Ambassador Tim Metcalfe, codriven by John Connor, and Hungary’s “Mesziati”. Here too, the former took the spoils and a second TER Historic Pre81 title home from the Costa Smeralda.
