Record 9-time World Rally Champion will star in Azores Rallye

 

Legend French driver Sébastien Loeb has registered for the 2023 TER – Tour European Rally.

 

The 9-time World Rally Champion will take part in Azores Rallye, 2023 Round 3 of the newest concept of rally series. The event will be Loeb’s maiden appearance on the technical gravel roads amongst stunning landscapes of the São Miguel island, and the first time behind the wheel of a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, with Laurène Godey in the codriver’s seat.

 

Extremely versatile, and the only driver ever to win an event in four different FIA World Championship disciplines (Rally, Touring Car, Rallycross and Rally-Raid), aside from holding several WRC records (most titles, most event wins, most podium finishes and stage wins) Loeb also won the 2012 X Games rally cross final, the 2013 Pikes Peak hill climb, the 2022 Extreme E Championship. He finished second in the 2006 Le Mans 24 Hours, as well as in three editions of the Dakar Rally, and was third in two World Touring Car Championship seasons.
