Jared Hudson clinches TER Codriver Trophy alongside Hayden Paddon

Marco Menchini finishes second after leading into the final round

 

The new-for-2022 TER Codriver Trophy was awarded to New Zealander Jared Hudson. The young codriver partnered TER Ambassador, Hyundai New Zealand and former Hyundai Motorsport WRC works driver Hayden Paddon on a Hyundai i20 R5 winning Get Connected Rali Ceredigion and Rally Terra Sarda.

 

Swiss Marco Menchini took second place, after leading the provisional standings at the start of the final round. After taking part in the opening round of Rally Terra Valli del Tevere alongside Gianmarco Donetto, he shared a Volkswagen Polo R5 with 2-time Swiss Champion Ivan Ballinari.

 

The third place of the podium is occupied ex aequo by Swiss Stéphane Fellay (winner of Rallye du Chablais on a Skoda Fabia alongside Jonathan Michellod) and Italy’s Elena Giovenale, who took place alongside Ivan Ballinari in two rounds.

 

Another joint finish in fifth place for Kiwi John Kennard, who codrove Paddon to victory in Rally di Alba, and Frenchman Benjamin Boulloud, who sprayed the champagne on Yoann Bonato’s Citroen C3 after victory in Rallye Antibes Côte d'Azur.

 

The top ten classified in the 2022 TER Codriver Trophy are:
