Mexican brothers head to Rally Terra Sarda with eyes on the title

The crew of Patrice and Nicolas Spitalier, 2021 NACAM Junior Champions, is heading to Sardinia to fight for the 2022 TER Junior title.

Category victories in Rallye Antibes Côte d’Azur and Rally di Alba, their first career events in Europe, have put the Mexican siblings in the provisional lead before the final round, where they will switch from a Renault Clio to a Peugeot 208 Rally4.

Patrice Spitalier said: “This has been a wonderful first year racing in Europe along side the TER Championship. Both events we raced, Antibes and Alba, were great events with challenging stages and it was amazing to see how high the level in Europe is. As a Latin American, it's clear to me that rallying is part of their culture. For us, it has been about gaining experience and getting better and better, and I think we managed that. We are very happy and excited to face our next challenge in Rally Terra Sarda, and defend the first place in the TER Junior Championship. For sure the the target has always been to get that title and we are just a step closer. I checked all the stages on videos and they look fast, narrow and amazing. We are only 10 days from the event and I can't wait to see you in Rally Terra Sarda!

The winner of the 2022 TER Junior Championship, reserved to drivers under 26 (i.e. born after 01/01/1996) driving RC4-R2/Rally4 and RC5/Rally5 cars. will take part in 2023 in one event driving an R5 car, prize offered by “Yiippi Mango Energy Drink” directly to the driver.
