Simone Tempestini leads Transilvania Rally after day one.

In the 5th round of the TER – Tour European Rally, and after day one Simone Tempestini and Sergiu Itu on Hyundai I20 R5  joined the park fermé of end of leg in Cluj Napoca leading the TER and at the first position of the overall classification of  the Transilvania Rally. 
A perfect day of race for the Belgian crew, Joachim Wagemans codriven by François Geerlandt with the Skoda Fabia R5 in the official colors of the TER who joined the park fermé in Cluj Napaoca in the second position of the TER classification and overall classification of the event.

The third position in the TER - Tour European Rally overall standings  at the end of the day is occupied by the Romanian crew Sebastian Barbu and Bogdan Iancu on Skoda Fabia R5 ahead the Romanian crews, Bogdan Marisca and Karoly Borbely with a Ford Fiesta R5, Valentin Porcisteanu codriven by Dan Dobre with a Citroën C3 R5. The leader of the TER overall standings the Luxembourgeois Steve Fernandes and the Belgian Olivier Beck on Skoda R5 occupy the 6th position in the TER classification this evening. They precede the Romanian Zoltan Juhos and Lorand Bako on Skoda Fabia R5.


Beautifull fight between the German Norman and Michaela Kreuter with a Citroën DS3 R3T Max who lead the TER 2WD and two Romanian crews Alexandru Filip codriven by Mihaela Dobranici on Renault Clio, Eugen Caragui and Robert Patrick Fus with a Peugeot 208 R2.  A third Romanian crew Doru Ioan Mihut and Radu  Guramulta alsoon a Peugeot 208 R2 precede two Hungarian crews Zsolt Gyuriczky codriven by Levente Borocczi on Citroën  C2 R2 Max, Viktor Vitek and Laszlo Holecz also with a Citroën C2 R2 Max.

 

The Romanian crew Mihnea Muresan codriven by Bianca Alina Pop on Peugeot 208 R2 lead the TER 2 CUP and precede the other Romanian crew, Alexandru Gheorghe and Ciprian Solomon on Peugeot 208 R2 

The TER crews will return to action tomorrow for Leg 2.

The Romanian Dan Girtofan codriven by Tudor Marza on Skoda Fabia R5 retired on mechanical problems. 
Retirement for two crews entered in the TER – Tour European Rally following an accident on the route section between the German, Stefan Gottig and Natalie Solbach-Schmidt with their Skoda Fabia R5 and the Romanian Cristian Dolofan an d Mihai Sandu on Peugeot 208 R5.
