After securing third place at Cēsis, the Latvian driver heads to Sardinia with a Škoda Fabia Rally2.
It is Rally Terra Sarda week in Sardinia, as the event celebrates its fourth consecutive year as part of the Series TER. Once again, the Italian event, this year set in the stunning new location of Ogliastra, will count towards all three FIA-approved TER International championships: the TER – Tour European Rally, the TER Series (World Series of TER), and TER Historic.
Following the welcomed return of 2022 TER – Tour European Rally Champion and 2023 TER Series Champion Hayden Paddon from New Zealand, who will compete in Sardinia with a Hyundai i20N Rally2, and the entry of 2022 WRC2 Champion Emil Lindholm from Finland making his TER debut at Rally Terra Sarda, the last-minute confirmation of the Latvian crew Gints Cēlājs and Tom Freibergs joins the roster of contenders.
Fresh from their third-place finish in the TER standings at Rallijs Cēsis in Latvia with a Hyundai, they are now ready to take on the Italian stages.
Cēlājs will contest Rally Terra Sarda in a Škoda Fabia Rally2. This key event could see the Latvian driver take the lead in the TER – Tour European Rally standings and stake his claim for the series title.
Everything is set for a spectacular weekend as the 10th TER season continues in Sardinia from October 17th to 19th with Rally Terra Sarda.
