The Galician event marks the return of the extreme north‑western Spanish region to the TER “family” in the eleventh anniversary year of the series.
The TER – Tour European Rally and TER Historic are excited to announce the addition of Rallye de A Coruña to their 2026, 2027 and 2028 calendars.
The 30th edition of Rallye de A Coruña, based in the city of A Coruña in the Galician region, will be the inaugural rally of the series from 26 to 28 February 2026.
A Coruña is a historic Atlantic port city in north‑western Spain, in the autonomous community of Galicia. It is known for its Roman lighthouse, the Tower of Hercules, and for its long seafront promenades and urban beaches.
The event promises to showcase the stunning Galician landscape, featuring a perfect blend of coastal and hilly terrain. Competitors and spectators alike can look forward to beautiful special stages set against breathtaking backdrops.
The inclusion of Rallye de A Coruña demonstrates TER’s commitment to expanding its reach and offering competitors a truly European experience. With its unique location and challenging stages, this Spanish event is poised to become a highlight of the 2026, 2027 and 2028 TER seasons.
Álvaro Muñiz, Rallye de A Coruña organiser: “In our tenth edition as organisers of the Rallye de A Coruña, we wanted to take our city to the next level. That’s why one of the most exciting and innovative milestones will be joining the TER - Tour European Rally and TER Historic.
If there’s something truly special about the Rallye de A Coruña, it is without a doubt the ceremonial start and prize‑giving in María Pita. Seeing the square packed, with a corridor of spectators stretching for hundreds of metres along the Marina, is simply spectacular.
We will be the opening round of the calendar. We are also working hard to bring the city‑centre superspecial stage to life. If we secure the necessary budget, we will make it happen, and we are absolutely certain it will be incredible. Furthermore, everything will be designed to make things easier for the competitors and to treat them with care. We want it to be a positive experience so that, when it’s over, they’re already thinking about coming back the following year.”
Luca Grilli, TER organiser and promoter, said: “We have never stopped following the philosophy of the newest concept of the rally series to enable the project to keep growing. We are delighted to welcome another new event which adds value to the TER. The addition of Rallye de A Coruña is great news for TER in its 11th anniversary year.”
