The nine-time World Rally Champion now leads the championship standings with the Alpine A110 Rallye GT+.
After two extremely challenging days due to difficult weather and the demanding special stages in the cantons of Vaud and Valais, the French idol and nine-time world rally champion Sébastien Loeb, with Laurène Godey by his side, claimed victory in the second appointment of the 2025 TER – Tour European Rally, the Rallye du Chablais in Switzerland.
Following a first day marked by a close battle for the lead with local driver Jonathan Hirschi in a Citroën C3 Rally2, a crash by the Swiss driver in the opening stage of the second leg cleared the way for Sébastien Loeb to secure victory in Aigle, his second win in the TER – Tour European Rally after his success at the Azores Rallye in 2023.
Finishing 32.2 seconds behind the winners, Mike Coppens and Christophe Roux took second place on the podium in their Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 after a more than satisfying performance.
Arriving in Switzerland with the goal of finishing in the top 10, Albert von Thurn und Taxis and co-driver Jara Hain delivered an exceptional performance, bringing their Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 to third place in the 21st edition of the Rallye du Chablais, 49.8 seconds off the lead.
Charles Muster and Maxime Andernack finished fourth in their Hyundai i20N Rally2, ahead of Thibault Maret and Kévin Bronner, who took fifth in the series with their Skoda.
Sixth place in the TER – Tour European Rally went to Pascal Perroud and Loïc Dumont in their Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, ahead of the identical cars of Gonon-Hugon and Loeffler-Chiapello.
René Noller and Anna-Maria Seidl ended their Rallye du Chablais experience in ninth place in the TER and won the TER Junior, the championship dedicated to under-26 drivers.
Stefano Mella and Stefano Tiraboschi completed the TER – Tour European Rally Top 10 with their Skoda.
Victory in TER 2WD went to two-time series champions Edgar Vigo and Fatima Ameneiro with their Peugeot 208 Rally4.
It was an unlucky event for 2017 TER Junior runner-up and 2022 TER Production champion Simon Vallentin, who, with co-driver Natalie Solbach-Smidth, was forced to retire during the first leg.
After rejoining for the second leg, they finished 11th in the TER with their Hyundai i20N Rally2.
In TER Historic J1/J2, Swiss driver Pascal Bachmann, with French co-driver Xavier Machet in a BMW M3 E30, took the win.
It was an unlucky Rallye du Chablais for Guy Trolliet and Sébastien Moulin, who were forced to retire while fighting for victory in their Porsche 911.
The 21st edition of the Rallye du Chablais proved to be an exciting event for fans, spectators, drivers and teams alike. The Swiss event will return in 2026 as part of both the TER – Tour European Rally and TER Historic calendars.
