Rok Turk wins Rally Poreč in Croatia, 1st Round of TER - Tour European Rally

28.04.2025

The seven-time Slovenian champion dominated the rally with Blanka Kacin at his side in a Hyundai i20N Rally2.

Poreč, a popular summer destination on the coast of Istria, the peninsula of western Croatia, hosted the 1st Round of the 10th season of the TER - Tour European Rally.

Rok Turk, the Slovenian idol, was the protagonist of Rally Poreč from start to finish. Co-driven by Blanka Kacin, he took the lead from the first special stages.

In the first two stages, the fight was between the Hyundai driver and the Citroën C3 Rally2 of Marko Grossi and Tara Berlot, who set the best time on the second special stage.

From the third stage, Turk pushed hard and closed Rally Poreč with seven special stage wins, finishing 38 seconds ahead of Grossi’s Citroën.

With an excellent debut outside Italy, the Italians Federico Bottoni and Sofia Peruzzi took the third step of the TER podium with a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.

In a challenging rally for him, the 16-year-old Italian Matteo Bernini achieved an excellent 4th place in the TER - Tour European Rally with his Hyundai i20 R5 and ends 7th overall, with Lorenzo Mattucci alongside.

Very fast from the beginning, with a perfect race for them, 5th place in TER and 1st in the TER Junior classification went to the Slovenian crew Martin Čendak and Jakob Markežič with an Opel Corsa Rally4.

6th in the TER general classification and victory in the TER 2WD went to the Croatians Marko Fakin and Aleksandar Radovčić in a Renault Clio Rally5, ahead of the Ford Fiesta Rally3 of Ambrož Kavs and Enej Bobič, 7th.

8th in TER and the second step of the podium in TER 2WD went to the Peugeot 208 Rally4 of Mitja Bratina and Aljaž Gec.

The third step of the podium in the TER 2WD went to the Renault Clio of Italians Boscariol and Manfredi.

Due to an off-road in the first special stage, Bulgarians Ignat Isaev and Yordan Yordanov were forced to retire from the rally with their Hyundai i20N Rally2.

The next round of the 2025 TER - Tour European Rally will be in Switzerland, at Rallye du Chablais, from June 5th to 7th.
