The TER - Tour European Rally and TER Historic championships are delighted to unveil the latest addition to their 2025 calendar: Rallye Ciudad de Granada. This exciting event, based in the picturesque city of Granada, Andalusia, Spain, will take place from October 9-11, 2025, continuing the TER's presence in the region following two successful years with the Rallye Sierra Morena.
Granada, the only Town to boast four Unesco World Heritage sites.
With its rich history and stunning landscapes, Granada provides a breathtaking backdrop for this rally. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains and home to the iconic Alhambra palace, the city offers a unique blend of cultural heritage and natural beauty. The rally's special stages will wind through the beautiful surrounding countryside, challenging drivers with thrilling gravel roads set against a backdrop of spectacular scenery.
The Rallye Ciudad de Granada has already established itself as a favourite amongst top drivers. Previous editions have attracted world-class talent, including 2024 World Champion Thierry Neuville, nine-time World Champion and TER Event Winner Sebastien Loeb, and rising stars such as Mikko Heikkila, Martins Sesks and Ole Christian Veiby. The event has also seen the participation of 2023 TER - Tour European Rally champion Osian Pryce, highlighting its significance in the rally world.
The inclusion of Rallye Ciudad de Granada is just one of several exciting developments for the TER's 2025 season. The championship has already confirmed the return of Otago Rally in New Zealand and Rallye du Chablais in Switzerland. Additionally, Rally Terra Sarda will continue its successful run in the series for the fourth consecutive year. With Rallijs Cēsis from Latvia and Rally Poreč from Croatia also joining the roster, the addition of Rallye Ciudad de Granada further enriches the TER "family." This expanded lineup promises competitors and fans an even more diverse and globally representative championship experience.
