The TER - Tour European Rally and TER Historic championships are delighted to confirm the addition of Rallijs Cēsis to their 2025 calendar. This exciting development marks the first time a Baltic rally joins the series in TER's 10-year history.
Scheduled for September 19-20, 2025, Rallijs Cēsis promises to deliver the high-speed thrills characteristic of Northern European gravel rallies. Competitors will enjoy sporting challenges special stages in the picturesque scenario of Latvia's Vidzeme region.
Rallijs Cēsis has a rich history in Latvian motorsport, having attracted international talent over the years. The event has seen participation from renowned drivers, contributing to its reputation as a formidable test of skill and speed.
Located approximately 90 kilometres northeast of Latvia's capital, Riga, the city of Cēsis hosts the rally's base. This ancient town, with origins dating back over 800 years, offers a unique blend of medieval charm and modern amenities. Cēsis boasts a fascinating history, having been an important center of the Livonian Order and a member of the Hanseatic League.
The city's skyline is dominated by the impressive Cēsis Castle complex, which includes both medieval ruins and a newer manor house. This historic setting provides a striking contrast to the high-octane action of the rally, creating a truly memorable experience for competitors and spectators alike.
By joining the TER, Rallijs Cēsis not only enhances its international profile but also offers TER a new challenge on the fast, flowing roads of Latvia. This addition further diversifies the TER calendar, reinforcing the series' commitment to showcasing the best rally events across Europe.
