2022 British Rally Champion stays ahead as Evans and Williams continue to fight

A sunny Sunday morning welcomed fans and crews, facing over 70 kms of fast tarmac stages, to the final day of JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion, 2023 TER – Tour European Rally round 7.

Driving a Volkswagen Polo, last year event's runner-up Osian Pryce is making the most of his maiden 2023 appearance on home soil. Codriven by Stéphane Prevot, he holds an advantage of +35.9 seconds on local hero Meirion Evans, alongside Jonathan Jackson, on a sister car, who started bridging his gap to the lead by winning the day's opener.

In provisional third place, James Williams and Dai Roberts are improving their pace: fastest in two of the three morning's stages, their Hyundai I20N Rally2 is now only +11.7 seconds from silver.

In TER Junior, Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy lady Aoife Raftery, codriven by Geraldine McBride on a Ford Fiesta R2, took the category lead after the retirement of team-mates Kyle McBride and Liam McIntyre. Despite an opening stage win, the crew was forced to abandon after an accident in SS10.
