Another great event will feature in the new TER W Series. Sol Rally Barbados, celebrating its 33rd edition on 10th - 11th June, is the biggest motorsport event in the Caribbean and the latest addition to the new series after Otago Rally, Rallye Antibes Côte d’Azur and Rally Terra Sarda.

 

Run on the tarmac public roads of the island, with an itinerary comprising around 20 special stages, the event has attracted many world class drivers. Past winners include WRC works driver Kris Meeke and Ken Block; Elfyn Evans, Simon Jean-Joseph, Toni Gardemeister have also featured in the event’s history.

Sol Rally Barbados is preceded by The Rally Show on June 3rd, the first chance for fans to meet the crews and start to feel the sporting atmosphere. On June 4th, the King of the Hill ‘shakedown’ features four timed runs on a roughly four-kilometre stage, the results of which are used to seed the running order for Rally Barbados, and is one of the highlights of the annual Barbados motor sport calendar with competitors and spectators alike.

The 2023 edition already has one big name on the entry list: TER Series Ambassador, 2022 TER – Tour European Rally, Asia-Pacific and New Zealand Champion, Hyundai New Zealand driver Hayden Paddon will make his debut in Barbados, driving the same Hyundai i20 R5 with which he secured victory in last year’s TER Rali Ceredigion.

The TER Series Staff will attend the entire schedule of events, starting from the Rally Show through to Sol Rally Barbados, in the stunning locations of the beautiful Caribbean island.

Along with the great local fans and crews, we are all gearing up for some great sporting action in another dream location”.
