Madeira confirmed as World's Leading Island Destination

World Travel Awards, whose mission is " to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry" has rewarded for the second year in a row the island of Madeira which was voted as "World's Leading Island Destination". 

The portuguese island, which hosted a round of the 2016 TER - Tour European Rally Series, secured the award against globally-known locations such as Bali (Indonesia), Barbados, Jamaica, Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Turks & Caicos.
