Yoann BONATO leads TER in Antibes at the end of the Leg 1

Yoann BONATO and Benjamin BOULLOUD with a Citroën C3 R5 join the park fermé of end of leg in Juan les Pins leading the TER – Tour European Rally and the 54th Rallye Antibes Côte d'Azur from their first participation in the new concept of rally series.
The French crew joined the service park in Nice at mid-day after 3 special stages in first TER position ahead the French Michel SYLVAIN and Jérôme DEGOUT with a Skoda Fabia R5..
During the afternoon stages, the rain that redoubled on the roads of the Nice hinterland disturbed a little more competitors and Sylvain MICHEL lost time in the sixth S.S following a puncture after touching a stone but also his second place in the TER classification, leaving it to the French Bruno RIBERI on Skoda Fabia R5.
The third position in the TER - Tour European Rally overall classification at the end of the day is occupied by Sylvain MICHEL and Jérôme DEGOUT.
German Norman and Michaël KREUTER with a Citroën DS3 R3 leads the TER 2WD Trophy and precede the rumanian crew Alexandru FILIP and Bogdan IANCU with a Renault Clio RS R3.
It's a Swiss crew who leads the TER2 CUP, Jonathan MICHELLOD codrived by Stéphane FELLAY with a Peugeot 208 Vti R2 before a female crew Allison VIANO and Pascale LAZARO MACARIO with a Ford Fiesta R2J.
The TER crews will return to action tomorrow for Leg 2, total route of 336,42 km with 6 S.S representing 102,42 km, beginning with “Coaraze - Lantosque”at 8:06am.
Nicolas CIAMIN and Yannick ROCHE with a Skoda Fabia R5, Ace ROBEY codrived by Alessandro GELSOMINO with a Citroën C3 R5 will restart in the second leg of the event in Rally 2. Joachim WAGEMANS codrived by François GEERLANDT with a Peugeot 208 T16 R5 retired following an accident in the second S.S of the day, then in the fifth S.S, these are the Swiss Sacha ALTHAUS and Liziane ZBINDEN who abandon on mechanical problems.
