23.09.2016

The 2016 TER has seen the number of entered drivers rise to a three-digit number in Austria.

At the close of registrations for the series amongst the drivers entered in Skoda Rallye Liezen, after the pre-event scrutineering, 38 new drivers have signed up for the innovative concept of rally series, bringing the total number to 107. Registered crews come from 11 countries: France, Portugal, UAE, Hungary, Romania, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Spain, Austria and Germany.

The Tour European Rally has reached another milestone, even more significant as the new european rally series is still in its debut season. After the 29 entries in Arad, a further 40 in Madeira, 38 crews of the Skoda Rallye Liezen have put in their registration for the newborn series, which blends the sporting and the tourism side of the events and locations to offer a tailored global promotion on TV, social networks, web platforms, newspapers, magazines and other important media.

Amongst the drivers who have registered for the 2016 Tour European Skoda Rally in Liezen are:
Andreas Aigner – former World and European Production Champion
Raimund Baumschlager – 10-time Austrian National Champion, former works driver in WRC
Hermann Neubauer -  former ERC driver who in 2016 has won 4 events in Austria out of 5 starts
Gerwald Grössing – former Mitropa Cup and Austrian Championship runner-up
Tamara Molinaro – The young Italian lady driver, part of the Red Bull programme, at her debut competitive outing with the Opel Adam R2.
