TER 2WD Trophy newcomers ready to fight in Transilvania

The 2018 TER – Tour European Rally promoters have received several entry forms with some days still left before the first round of the season.

New crews are coming to the series in the TER 2WD Trophy, amongst which hungarians Gábor Német and István Szabó (Ford Fiesta R2T). In 2015 they secured 3rd place in the RC4 class in the national championship with a Peugeot 208 R2, before switching to an Opel Adam and the Opel Cup in Austria for the last two seasons. This year a new car and a new challenge awaits them in the TER 2WD Trophy.

Gábor Német said: “This year we are going to join the TER series with the Ford Fiesta R2T. At the moment our plan is to participate in Romania, Switzerland, and especially Belgium. We hope that we will be taking part in a great events and we can compare our knowledge with the regular TER 2WD Trophy drivers in addition to the local heroes.”

Amongst their rivals from the first event in Transilvania, the locals Csongr Szabo - Rares Fetean (Ford Fiesta R2).
