Tour European Rally stars and WRC drivers heading for Madeira – 2017 TER Round 3

19.07.2017

The third round of the 2017 Tour European Rally, Rali Vinho da Madeira, promises a great sporting fight on the Pearl of the Atlantic island.

Series leader Giandomenico Basso, with the BRC Racing Team Hyundai New Generation i20 R5, will try to strecth his lead, fighting against 2016 JWRC World Rally Champion and 2016 TER Winner Simone Tempestini who will drive a Citroën DS3 R5 by italian team Delta Rally.

The 2017 RVM will be the first TER event for argentinian driver Juan Carlos Alonso, second in WRC2 at his home round of the World Rally Championship earlier this year, aiming for precious TER Production Trophy points with his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X.

The great race in the breathtaking portuguese island will see several of the drivers entered in the new concept of rally series, aiming to increase their score, including some of the stars of the TER2 Cup trying to benefit from the absence of the provisional leader Simon Vallentin, who will return to action at Škoda Rallye Liezen in September.
