TER Champions Pryce and Metcalfe take to TER Promo Event in Tandalò

2023 Series winners ready to tame the gravel in unique Sardinian event

 

The 2023 TER – Tour European Rally Champion Osian Pryce will be one of the stars in next month’s Cronoscalata di Tandalò, a TER Promo Event based at Buddusò, in Sardinia. The 2022 British Rally Champion will be up against, amongst others, 3-time TER Historic Pre81 Champion and TER Historic Ambassador Tim Metcalfe, in the experimental race held on 11th and 12th November. Both drivers will share a Kart Cross from Spanish manufacturer Yacar, thanks to the cooperation between the event organisers and the TER.

 

The 5-kilometre gravel hillclimb, admitting several types of vehicles including rally, off road, vst, open and historic each with dedicated standings. will celebrate its 7th edition in 2023 and will count for the Italian Offroad Championship. Past winners include former WRC star Gigi Galli.

 

The programme comprises a shakedown on Saturday morning, followed by 3 runs in the afternoon. On Sunday 2 more passes before the final: the King of Tandalò, the overall winner, will be crowned at the end of the final heat where the best of each category challenge each other.

 

The Cronoscalata di Tandalò is a TER Promo Event, and will therefore benefit from a promotion and TV coverage similar to those offered to the Series. Previous TER Promo Events include Rally of Nations Guanajuato – Rally Mexico, Arctic Lapland Rally (Finland), and Rally Montre (Japan) won by former F1 driver and Japanese Rally Champion, Finn Heikki Kovalainen.
