First Spanish crews enter the 2023 TER Series

Locals aim to shine at home in Rallye Sierra Morena - Round 2

 

Ahead of the forthcoming 40th Rallye Internacional Sierra Morena - Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad - Trofeo Andalucía Región Europea del Deporte, the TER Series promoters have received the first entry forms from local drivers wishing to shine in their home event.

 

The 2021 TER – Tour European Rally bronze medal crew of José Antonio Suárez and Alberto Iglesias makes a welcome return to the series. The 2021 Rallye Sierra Morena winner will be making his eighth participation in the event, with a Škoda Fabia Rally2.

 

2-time Iberian Rally Trophy winner, Hyundai Motor España driver Surhayen Pernía codriven by Alba Sánchez on a Hyundai i20 N Rally 2, will start for the 12th time in Rallye Sierra Morena, 10 years after his maiden victory.

 

Taking part in the event for the fourth time, his Hyundai Motor España team mate Francisco López will share a sister car with Borja Odriozola. The crew returns to Córdoba two years after their last participation, which had rewarded them with a top-10 finish.

 

A newly formed crew will also take to the Andalucia stages; Pablo Díez will team up with Maria Esther Gutiérrez, on a Škoda Fabia R5, and return to Rallye Sierra Morena for the second time, after a maiden participation in 2021.

 

Amongst the TER Entries in Sierra Morena, two former Champions of Andalucia: 2004 winner Javier Galán will be codriven by Marta Galán on a Renault Clio Rally 4, while Óscar Gil, who was crowned in 2011, will be partnered by Carlos Chamorro in an Opel Adam R2.

 

It will be possible to register for the 2023 TER Series and score points in Rallye Sierra Morena until the posting of the event’s starting list. Come join us!
